Can you swim at the high and low tide?
Yes, at low tide, just walk to the end of the Jetty. All other times are wonderful for swimming from the beach. It is very safe for children with a slow sloping beach. At the end of the Jetty are a large variety of local reef fish, making it a unique and favorite spot for snorkeling. Snorkeling gear is for hire at a nominal charge.

Do you have a shop on the resort and Island?
Yes we do, but it is for basic items only. If you would like to cater yourself then it is best to stop underway from Nadi to Ellington Wharf and shop in a good supermarket in Lautoka (30 minutes from Nadi) called MH's. They have everything you need, including liquor.

What are the facilities of power and water?
Well, expect paradise, but we are not the Sheraton! So, cold water only for showers. Not that this is a problem with our lovely warm weather. Water is very restricted on the Island as we have little rain and no spring water. The tank water is excellent for consumption, but you may wish to purchase Fiji Water for your drinking needs. This is a now famous international brand of spring water. The Island is powered by generator, which is switched off at around 10.30 at night. This allows for a peaceful sleep for all guests. We don't encourage late night parties to disrupt the peace of the Island.

What are the water sports options at the Island?
As you can see from the website, the beach is lovely. A 10 minute walk takes you to what we call the "back beach" a long stretch of golden sand. The back beach is particularly popular with the wind surfers. We have two dive companies who operate from the Island and offer daily trips with pick up from our Jetty. Daily snorkeling trips are available as well as fishing trips. We have a number of sea canoes that are always available for the more energetic guests. The Island is also lovely for long walks. At low tide you can walk all along the beach and around the tip back along the back beach back to your resort.

Can you windsurf or kite-board from the resort?
Yes, but the preferred place is the back beach with more exposed wind conditions. This is just a 10 minute walk.

Do you have air-conditioning?
We don't have air-conditioning, but ceiling fans are installed in main bedroom of the cottages. Our cottages are equipped with louvered windows so you can enjoy the cool evening breeze.

Do you have facilities for young children and or babies?
We have one portacot available, please ensure to request this when you make a booking. The resort offers a safe, non surf beach just outside the cottages and a large lawn for children to play.

Do you have credit card facilities, and what is the easiest way to settle the account?
Yes, we accept MasterCard and Visa cards, and Travellers Cheques. The township of Vaileka has a Westpac Bank which opens for only some of the weekdays, but it has a ATM cash point as well as that the bank will provide cash advances from Credit cards. The best option is to ensure you have your bank requirements in place prior to leaving Nadi. Please note that we require a deposit of one night's accommodation to hold a firm booking. You may email us MasterCard or Visa card details, or send a Bank Cheque or deposit the amount into our bank account by direct TT. In this case please fax us a copy of the deposit.

Do you have special rates for long duration bookings?
Yes we do for those booking longer then 14 days. We would be pleased to discuss these with you if required.
